A town in the province of Foggia, Troia is located on the slopes of the Daunian Sub-Apennines, about 22 kilometres from the metropolitan city. Its hallmark is the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, a unique example in the world for the eleven rays forming the rose window. In Episcopio square, the Museum of the Treasure of the Cathedral retains precious liturgical objects, while the Civic Museum preserves several archaeological finds. Not to be missed are the Church of St. Basilius, the baroque one of St. John and that of St. Francis.
